ready to eat One pan. The fish does none of the work.

Your WILD’R tuna steaks are already grilled. They need warming through only. Cooking them again will dry the fish and lose the glaze. Or skip it entirely and eat them cold.

Ingredients

Serves

The WILD’R bit

  • 1 pack WILD'R Ginger, Lime & Coconut Yellowfin Tuna Steaks (2 × 90g)

For the toast

Contains: Fish, Cereals containing gluten

Method

  1. Warm the tuna

Heat the oven to Fan 180°C. Place the tuna steaks uncovered on a lined tray, coconut side up, and heat for 7 minutes. This is just to warm them up — the steaks come ready to eat.

  2. Toast the bread

Toast the sourdough for 2–3 minutes, until it's firm enough to sound hollow when you tap it.

  3. Smash the avocado

Fork it roughly with the lime juice, salt and pepper. Leave it chunky — smooth avocado slides off toast.

  4. Build

Spread the avocado across each slice, then swirl the coconut yoghurt into it with the back of a spoon so it marbles through rather than sitting on top.

  5. Finish & serve

Set each steak whole on top of a slice of toast. Add the lime zest, chilli flakes, a thread of olive oil and a pinch of salt.

Cook’s notes

Warming the tuna
Fan oven 7 minutes at 180°C, uncovered and coconut side up, or 2 minutes each side in a warm pan. The steaks arrive ready to eat — this is warming through, not cooking.
Keep it chunky
Forked avocado stays on the toast. Blitzed or over-mashed avocado slides straight off.
Bread
Sourdough holds the weight. A softer loaf goes soggy under the avocado.
Allergens
